Empowering Lufthansa Group employees
In March 2020, the aviation industry faced its most difficult crisis to date, with COVID-19 forcing the largest grounding of airplanes ever seen. At Lufthansa Group they took this as an opportunity to shift their focus onto something that personally matters to their colleagues - to help them to believe in themselves and realise how remarkable they are.
To do so, they introduced #IAmRemarkable to their employees and as of January 2023 they have reached 600 people with 90 workshops hosted by 60 facilitators. They have started a movement that is continuing to scale throughout Lufthansa Group companies and are confident that empowerment and diversity will grow as a result.
#IAmRemarkable is a global initiative that strives to empower everyone, particularly women and underrepresented groups, to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond.
We couldn't have found a better idea to really drive the diversity that we were actually aiming for.
Claudia Rautenberg, Vice President HR Executives, Employer Branding & Talent Management, Lufthansa Group
